A violent gang attacked bin men in Stoke-on-Trent after a road rage incident. The shocking assault involved weapons and left several workers injured and traumatized.

Joe Corden, Jack Spackman, and Kyle Worthington were the culprits. They went after the council workers in Birches Head, and it got really violent. CCTV footage showed them using a gun, axe, and sledgehammer.
The trouble kicked off around 11:15 AM on March 21, 2023. Corden lost it after almost crashing into a bin wagon. He jumped out of his car and punched the driver.
Things escalated quickly. The driver and his colleagues confronted Corden, but he kept coming back for more. He even threatened to get a knife and a gun.
After a bit, Corden grabbed a pole and started smashing the bin wagon. The driver tried to escape, but Corden kept hitting the wagon.
Fifteen minutes later, Corden and his friends found another bin lorry. This time, they came armed with an axe and a sledgehammer. They smashed the windows and attacked the bin men.
One of the bin men got hurt pretty badly. He had to go to the hospital with serious injuries. The gang didn’t stop there; they kept attacking until they were done.
The police later found Corden’s car, and they discovered a sledgehammer inside. Worthington had a blank-firing gun at home, which he admitted to using during the attack.
The bin men shared their experiences in court. One said he still has nightmares and struggles with daily tasks. Another victim had to stop working due to health issues.
Corden, Spackman, and Worthington all pleaded guilty to various charges. They’re now waiting for their sentences, which are set for February 7. The youth involved got a three-year rehabilitation order.
