Kingswood’s Colomendy holiday camp in Wales has closed as the company enters administration, affecting many cherished memories.

Mold: It’s a real bummer to hear that Colomendy, the beloved holiday camp in Wales, is shutting down. Kingswood, the company that runs it, has gone into administration. This place has been a staple for so many kids over the years, making memories that last a lifetime.
People remember the fun times spent there, like enjoying dip dab lollipops and competing with other schools. Colomendy started as a refuge for kids during World War Two and later became a favorite spot for school trips from the northwest of England.
Back in 2007, Liverpool Council gave Kingswood a 30-year lease to keep the camp running. But now, Kingswood has announced that seven of their centers, including Colomendy, will close. They mentioned that while some centers will stay open, Colomendy isn’t one of them.
It’s sad to see such a cherished place go. Kingswood is trying to help those affected by offering alternative trips through PGL, which has taken over a few of their other centers. They’re also promising to honor any payments already made. It’s tough news for everyone who loved this camp.
